It’s been a while since our last blog post, sorry about that–we were on a over-extended vaycay…
However, we are proud to present our recent shipment of SS 2010 Guidi boots and bags! Over the 4th of July weekend, our dear friends Aaron and Kai came out on Saturday morning to model the boots and some of our other merchandise. Lookin’ smooth guys! The weather was quite rainy–unusual for sunny Hawaii weather, but it provided perfect light for our photos.
Currently we have in stock are Guidi 986, 988, 988MS, 992T, 211 and bags Q10, Q15, and B30 in black and purple. Please check out the Guidi section on the website for sizes, or call us at our store 808-921-2740 for any inquires.

After selling out of our prized CCP mismatched/disparate coiled zipper boots we’ve received many requests to have them restocked. In response we are pleased to announce that we will be receiving another shipment of these beauties to hold us over until 2010 is unveiled. This time our order will be a bit more generous with units ranging from size 7 – 9. Also due to a recent return we have one pair, size 7, in stock. Strike now while the iron is hot, the recuts will be priced with an additional 20% markup.

Its sad to say that we are down to our final pair of CCP mis-matched coiled zipper boots. I should have set aside myself a pair of these gems after seeing them in Milan last January but hesitated because my mind was already set on a pair of beautiful back-zip donkey leather Guidis. But these boots by Carol happen to be one of those rare instances where the post-production model eclipses the pre-production prototype in terms of quality and finish. Our last size 8 went to a good home today, which leaves us with only one size 7 left to admire. While in the store they functioned as a great conversation piece to introduce our newer customers to the brilliance of Carol’s work. Fortunately it may be possible to have these re-cut (should there be enough interest: info@mixmixllc.com) due to the fact that the 2010 collection has not yet been revealed.

Passarella Death Squad’s upcoming Spring Summer collection is on my mind. It won’t be here until mid-march, but I’ve already decided to grab one of these delicious leather riders for myself. I just spoke to Danny on the telephone today and got the exact dimensions of the size medium prototype. Apparently it will have a 38″ chest, 16.25″ shoulder, 28.75″ sleeve, and 26.75″ overall length. Sounds like an ideal cut to me.
